I've seen that one before. It's odd yes, but not uncommon. In fact there are 250 different headers including: "dragon free" (soon to be untrue), "secret friday update", and "the creeper is a spy!".
I dont think Minecraft shoud just exclude dragons. All the other monsters are in there. Spiders, Skeletons, Zombies?! C'mon minecraft, just add in Dragons!

Here are some tips on how to survive:
First night: What you wanna do is punch trees to get wood. Craft the wood into planks. Gather as much wood you can. When the sun is RIGHT above you, stop, create a workbench, craft some sticks, and make a pickaxe to gather stone and coal. Craft the coal and sticks into torches. Then, you organize the planks into a form of a house. REMEMBER THE ROOF!
Diamond Digging: Ensure you have iron tools. First, dig down to the layer of bedrock. You wanna dig about 6 blocks above the topmost layer of bedrock. Dig out a shaft, and hunt down some diamonds. You also wanna carry a bucket of water incase you fall into lava.
Wolf Finding: Go out to a major forest wit giant trees. Camp out in one for a few days. Make sure you carry plenty of bones. Bones can be found off of skeletons, or in deep cave dungeons that can spawn mobs. After a few days of camping in trees, you might find a pack of 5-6 wolves. Depending on the wolf, you might need to give it 1-4 sometimes 5-6 bones in order to tame it. DO NOT HIT THE WOLF! Wolves can also spawn on peaceful difficulty. When it is tamed, hearts will fluff from him, and will have a red collar.
Minecraft is an exxelent game of building useless things. With elbo grease, thinking, patience, and a proactive attitude, you can build MANY wonders... There are also tons of different things you can craft, create, find, heat, and explore. For best assistance, look up tutorials. Get it before it becomes 20 dollars or whatever currency you have, prices are around 15 right now
